Dr. Eustace Oseghale is a highly accomplished Consultant ENT Head and Neck Surgeon at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital. With a career dedicated to improving healthcare in Nigeria, he is a passionate advocate for enhancing health systems through research and education.

Dr. Oseghale's medical journey began with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Benin in 2007. He furthered his expertise by obtaining a Fellowship of the West African College of Surgeons in Otorhinolaryngology in 2018. His professional experience includes roles as a Medical Officer in both government and private hospitals before he joined the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, where he has risen from Registrar to his current position as a Consultant.

Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Oseghale is a recognized leader in the medical community. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Edo State Branch, a position he has held since August 2024. His leadership roles within the NMA, including Treasurer and Public Relations Officer, demonstrate his long-standing commitment to the organization. He also served as the President of the Association of Resident Doctors, University of Benin Teaching Hospital, from 2016 to 2017.

Dr. Oseghale's dedication to his profession is also reflected in his involvement in various medical missions, where he has provided free healthcare services to communities. His accolades, including the Best Staff of the Month Award from the University of Benin Teaching Hospital and multiple Awards of Excellence from the Association of Resident Doctors, attest to his outstanding contributions and leadership. Dr. Inegbenosun, Iluobe is a distinguished medical professional with a strong focus in paediatric surgery. Based in Benin City, Nigeria, he currently serves in the Paediatric Surgery Division of the Department of Surgery at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital. His areas of subspecialty interest include paediatric surgical oncology, paediatric trauma, and neonatal surgery, demonstrating a commitment to the most delicate and critical areas of surgical care for children.

Dr. Inegbenosun's academic journey began with a NECO qualification in 2005, followed by his MBBS from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma in 2012. He further specialized by obtaining a Membership from the West Africa College of Surgeons in 2021. He holds a Master's in Health Management and Planning from the University of Benin (2024) and is currently pursuing a PhD in Healthcare Administration, showcasing his dedication to both clinical practice and healthcare leadership.

His extensive clinical experience spans over a decade, starting as a House Officer at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital in 2012. He served as a Medical Officer for the Police Medical Service and progressed through the ranks as a Registrar and Senior Registrar in the Department of Surgery, specializing in Paediatric Surgery.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Inegbenosun is a committed educator, with teaching experience at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital and the School of Information Health Technology. He is an active member of numerous professional organizations, including the Nigerian Medical Association and the Association of Paediatric Surgeons of Nigeria, and has held several leadership roles, such as Editor-in-Chief of the Benin Journal of Postgraduate Medicine. His contributions to the medical field are further evidenced by his various publications and a focus on research, including a comparison of diagnostic values in paediatric appendicitis. His skills are highlighted by his excellent communication and managerial abilities, complemented by advanced skills in paediatric surgical procedures.

Biography – Dr. Aghahowa Humphrey Adesotu
Dr. Aghahowa Humphrey Adesotu is a highly dedicated and detail-oriented medical doctor with specialized expertise in Chemical Pathology. He currently serves as a Senior Registrar at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) and an Adjunct Lecturer at the School of Basic Clinical Sciences, University of Benin.
A graduate of the University of Benin, where he earned his MBBS in 2012, Dr. Aghahowa has consistently demonstrated a passion for medical education, clinical excellence, and leadership. His early education was rooted in Benin City, attending Eghosa Grammar School and Ediaken Primary School.
In his role at UBTH, he is actively involved in diagnostic evaluations, laboratory oversight, and mentoring of junior doctors and medical interns. As an academic, he contributes significantly to medical training, supervising undergraduate research and facilitating clinical learning.
Dr. Aghahowa has also distinguished himself in leadership and service. He was elected Club House Secretary of the Association of Resident Doctors (ARD), UBTH, for two consecutive terms in 2022 and 2023. His commitment to organized medicine continues in his current role as Deputy Secretary of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Edo State chapter, where he supports administrative coordination and member welfare.
His professional strengths span clinical laboratory diagnostics, academic mentorship, public speaking, and healthcare system development. Beyond medicine, Dr. Aghahowa is deeply interested in politics, history, and sports, reflecting a well-rounded perspective on national development and civic responsibility.
He resides in Benin City, Edo State, where he continues to contribute to the advancement of healthcare and medical education.

Dr. Duke Onoriode UDHEKRU was born on the 8th day of November, 1985, into the family of Mr. and Mrs. Paradise Akawa, natives of Uzere in Isoko South and Ofagbe in Isoko North Local Government Area, respectively in Delta State, Nigeria.

He had his early education at Aunt Wome Primary School, Ughelli, and proceeded to Victory Secondary School, Ughelli, where he obtained his Senior Secondary School Certificate.

Driven by passion to save lives, he gained admission into Delta State University, Abraka, where he earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree. He is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Public Health.

Dr. Duke is currently a Family Physician in training with the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria and serves as the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Nigerian Medical Association, Edo State Branch.


A respected voice in public health communication, Dr. Duke continues to champion improved healthcare access and medical awareness campaigns within Edo State and had been featured severally in different media houses, including Edo Broadcasting Service and Independent Television and Radio. He served as Ex Officio IV/National Health Insurance Authority Coordinator and Academic Secretary, Association of Resident Doctors, University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Edo State. He had also served as Secretary of Human and Capacity Building Committee, Edo State Branch of Nigerian Medical Association.

He is happily married to Mrs. Hilary Omoikhe Udhekru and they are blessed with two kids; Master Uyoyouzino Aidelokhai Onoriode and Miss Ewomazino Omokhefe Onoriode.

Dr. Ehizonaga Jovana Ivie is a dedicated and highly skilled Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Pathologist, currently serving at Edo Specialist Hospital under the State Hospital Management Agency in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria.
Born on April 1st, 1984, Dr. Ivie began her academic journey at Ivbiore Primary School, Benin City, and progressed through Emotan College. She obtained her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from the University of Benin in 2009. She later earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Forensic and DNA Studies in 2022 from the same university.
Her commitment to excellence in dental health led her to pursue residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, which culminated in her becoming a Fellow of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria in 2023. She further enhanced her expertise by obtaining an Expert Certification in Forensic Odontology from the International Forensic Sciences, India, in 2025.
Dr. Ivie's professional journey spans over a decade, beginning with her housemanship at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital and her national service at Central Hospital, Benin. She went on to serve as a Dental Officer at Central Hospital from 2013 to 2017 before advancing to her current consultant role.
Renowned for her strong clinical and training abilities, Dr. Ivie possesses excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. She is a team player, committed to continuous professional development and passionate about research and innovation in dental and forensic sciences.
In addition to her academic and clinical pursuits, she enjoys dancing and singing, embracing a well-rounded lifestyle that blends professionalism with personal passion.
Dr. Ivie is fluent in English and Benin languages and is married. She remains a respected member of the healthcare community, known for her integrity, dedication, and contribution to oral health in Nigeria.
