The Edo NMA Annual General Meeting in Irrua was not just a gathering of great minds — it was a celebration of health, camaraderie, and spirited competition. This year’s sporting events brought together doctors, colleagues, and friends in an atmosphere of fun, fitness, and fellowship.
FITNESS WALK & AEROBICS – SATURDAY, 2ND AUGUST 2025 The AGM kicked off on a vibrant note with what began as a modest 6-man fitness walk. Along the way, more colleagues, bystanders, and even patients joined in, drawn by the infectious energy.
The walk transitioned into an aerobics session that lit up the ISTH premises — with laughter, music, and even patients dancing from their ward windows. It was a powerful reminder that health is contagious when shared with joy.
INDOOR GAMES – WEDNESDAY, 6TH
AUGUST 2025 Midweek was for mental agility and lighthearted rivalry as members competed across a variety of indoor games. From the intense focus of chess and scrabble to the quick hands of table tennis and the nostalgic fun of Ludo, Snake & Ladder, Whot, Darts, and PlayStation, the atmosphere was alive with cheers, banter, and bursts of laughter. Healthy competition was the order of the day — and everyone was a winner in fellowship.
CLASH OF TITANS & BICYCLE RACE –
FRIDAY, 8TH AUGUST 2025 The grand finale was nothing short of epic. The much-anticipated Clash of Titans — Edo NMA vs Senior Staff ISTH — began under torrential rain that turned the pitch into a slick battlefield. Yet, neither team flinched. With water splashing at every stride and the crowd roaring from the sidelines, both sides displayed heart, grit, and unshakable team spirit. It was a match that will be remembered — not for the weather, but for the passion that refused to be drowned. Earlier that afternoon, the Bicycle Race set hearts
pounding, as cyclists pushed themselves to the limit, cheered on by an enthusiastic crowd. The
determination on their faces and the applause from supporters made it a race worth every drop of sweat. At the end of the day, it wasn’t just medals that were won, but new bonds, deeper friendships, and the unspoken camaraderie that comes when people come together in the spirit of play. In all, the Edo NMAAGM sporting events were more than games — they were a celebration of unity, wellness, and the vibrant spirit of our association. Special appreciation goes to all participants, supporters, and the Sports Committee for making these moments possible.
